W. Lance Russum, JD
Firm founder Lance Russum attended undergraduate school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., and in 1966, earned his J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1966.
Lance is an experienced lawyer whose practice areas include Probate, Family Law and Litigation. He has been practicing since 1966 in the areas of Real Property (Sales, Lease and Litigation); Claims, Business Planning and Formations, Fraud and Misrepresentation Claims; Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Conservatorships, Probate and Elder Law (including Death Transfers, Taxes, Administration, Med-Cal Planning, Elder Abuse and Litigation); and Family Law (including Adoption, Paternity, Premarital Agreements, Property Settlements and Separation Agreements). He also provides Arbitration and Mediation services.
Lance has also lectured on estate/probate/litigation and tax issues to attorneys for the state bar’s educational program and to the public. He is also an avid golfer and regularly participates in golf fundraisers & charity events.
Diana Redding, JD, MBA, LLM
Diana Reddding has worked with Lance Russum for 10 years. She attended the University of San Francisco and received her M.B.A, J.D. and L.L.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She was admitted to the State Bar in 2004.
She practices law in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Trust and Probate Litigation, Conservatorships, Elder Law Medi-Cal Planning, Family Law and Taxation. Diana Redding understands the family dynamics related to the many aspects of Estate Planning, Probate and Trust and Probate Litigation and offers practical advice to assist her clients.
She is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service providing services to the community.
Diana obtained her blackbelt in karate in 1999. She frequently rides her road bike and runs in Alameda and the surrounding Bay Area. She is also a member of the Team Alameda and Lake Merrit Jogger & Striders Clubs.

Cindy Trento Jackson
Cindy Jackson has worked in the office for over 30 years. She started as a teenage file clerk, then became our Receptionist and thereafter became our Bookkeeper in charge of Billing, Accounts Receivable and Client Trust Accounting.
Cindy has a ready smile for all and dispenses wisdom throughout the office. She has been an outstanding and very positive influence in our office. Cindy is married and has two children. Lance has represented Cindy’s grandparents, parents and family over the years. She is very much a part of the Russum family. Cindy makes better coffee than Lance.
Raquel Vazquez is our Legal Secretary and Receptionist and she has worked in our office for almost ten years. She is also Bilingual in Spanish and helps translate and explain the meaning of documents as requested by the Attorneys. Raquel is a proud mother and loves her family and friends.
